In the reservoir Embalse del Burguillo you can practice swimming (the Island offers many beaches), canoeing, rowing, hiking, water-skiing, sailing, and fishing.

There are also interesting tourist visits to the nearby historic populations of El Barraco (10 kms) and El Tiemblo (12kms), the Bulls of Guisando celtiberian sculptures of the 2Nd century bc.- located on de hill of Guisando.

Close is the Valle de Iruelas Natural Park, which has been declared a special area for bird's protection, and there is a large colony of black vultures. In the same reserve is the CastaƱar del Tiemblo ("the magic forest" Tales), a magnificent forest of chestnut trees, where there is a known centenarian specimen.

The local cuisine in this part of Spain offers a wide variety of products of excellent quality.
